1990 IROC ? or no?
*EDIT* L98 and CC1 RPO SHEET PIC AT BOTTOM!
hey just had a quick question. i picked up a 1990 IROC. the vin says its a 1990 and im certain the vin is correct as its all over the car even the front bumper one matches. But, the vin also states that it came with a 350 TPI.
The RPO list inside also has B2L and L98, but according to this site, the L98s all had to have G92 package, which i do not see listed on the RPO list. It has air conditioning, oil cooler, alum. driveshaft, aluminum spare, etc.
Also, oddly it has t-tops as well.
Perhaps someone can help me sort through this?

meaning...that even though i apparently have g92 (since i have a 350) that it WONT be listed on the rpo list?
i know you could get t-tops w/ 350s btw thats not the problem.
edit: i searched for awhile too before i posted and didn't find anything specifically relevant.

Out of curiosity, do you actually have L98 and CC1 on your sticker ? I don't know of any 1990 cars with the 350 and T-tops.. This would be the first I've heard of.

well the tech section says that in 1990 it wasnt G92... it was called c60 (w/ air conditioning) or c41 (1LE). i have c60 on my rpo list but i also have some 1LE stuff like alum. driveshaft and alum. spare.
G92 was not just a gearing package but G80 was limited slip diff. G92 included a better cam for the 5spd 5.0 TPI and better gearing and rear discs and things like that.

IF you e-mail me the pic I will do it for you.
The "G92" was definately a Chevrolet thing, the Firebirds did not get the designation unless it was equiped with the 1LE, then apparently the RPO showed up.
G92 to my knowledge was an option for the camaro no matter the engine for most years. Unlike the Formula and GTA which the performance goodies were suposed to be standard, it was not standard fare on the IROC/Z28 or Trans Am. IIRC the 1991 camaro dealer brochure shows that its an add-on goodie, and does not specify it to be standard with any engine.

On the SPID-RPO sheet the tenth digit, which would designate the year,is a "J" which would indicate 1988 as the model year.To be a 1990 the tenth digit would have to be a "L".Please correct me if I'm mistaken.Does the VIN on the SPID match the one on the top left corner of the dash?
She is a very desirable car with all the performance and comfort options. With just alittle more work and you'll have a very nice IROC.In your last post you stated she's for sale just curious how much are you asking?

Checked your Vin from the RPO sheet on Camarosource.
It has a 1988 vin.
Also judging from one of the pictures i saw in ur forsale ad, the dash is the 82-89 style.
