Does my Camaro SC have a bird in it?
I located the numbers in front of the passenger side cylinder head. They are 70605SDB. When I looked up the code, this is what it came up with:
1987 SDB 305 Roch E4ME carb. H LG4 150 4 Firebird
There is no mention of a Camaro. Does this mean that the engine was definitely swapped at some point or did they just leave off Camaro?

There wasn't a specific head casting number for the chevy motors that got put into the pontiacs. They were built along the same line, and any motor of the right type was selected at random and put into the car.
My guess is that the explanation was abreviated so that the "camaro" part was omitted, or it's just plain incorrect.
