15" wheels and performance suspension
Could you ever get a Trans Am with 15" wheels and WS6?
I have come across 2 1985 Trans Ams that claim performance suspesion but have 15" rims. I suspect its just the F41 but am not sure (cars in question are both 1985)

same with all the earlier years at least, and in 82 83 84 too, nothing out of the ordinary

In 85 there was a performance suspension that was optional and not the WS6 option. I have it on mine. I think though in 86 maybe just a bit later this option later became standard and since in 85 this option got the Performance Suspension badge it also got it when it was standard equipment. Not sure if this was standard for the basic birds, but im pertty sure it was for Trans ams after 85.
This could also explain it.

First off, the Firebird Redbook is more accurate as toilet paper.
Second, F41, FE2, etc are all considered 'performance suspension'.
All WS6 cars are 'performance suspension', not all 'performance suspension' cars have WS6.

ws6 had 16'' rims with 245\50\16s..not 215\60\16 and performance suspension dues not mean it is a ws6 car

okay I see what your saying. Aren't all FE2 cars WS6? I have seen both on the same car.
WS6 has always been a package consisting of performance options, mostly suspension, but FE2 is swaybars and springs. FE2 is the one to look for if you're concerned about a stiff suspension.
