How Rare is this? and how much is it worth?
I went to the junkyard yesterday and I picked this up from a early berlinetta, it had a digital cluster but It was too much effort to remove so I just left it there and took the console, since it was something I never seen before... so how rare are these? and is it worth something?

That's one unusual console you have there.
I've been to lots of junkyards and I've seen quite a few berlinettas in my time, but I have never seen a console like that before.
I wonder how many were built? that tape deck is probably the most odd part about it.

Correct, that's the "star wars" cluster and console. The all push button delco ETR radio was I think the first one in an Fbody, as Pontiac's UT4 stereo did not appear until 1985 in the Firebird. Certainly worth something to any one restoring a berlinetta from those years.

so how much is this worth roughly? Myself I have never ever seen anything like it... I was thinking of cutting the squares out and removing all the hardware from that tape deck... but my dashboard is different than that of the berlinettas.. so I decided not to install this.
It would be worth more if you have the brains for the stereo that were in the console... Hopefully you grabbed that!
On Ebay I've seen a "Nice" radio go for around $50-60 but add in the console and I'd say you're in the $100-150 range of things...

what junk yard did you get the console at and do you have a phone number? the reason why i ask is because i have a 85 that have the digital gauges and i need the plug that screw into the tranny for the speedometer and the wiring plug and wires that conncet to it.

If the stereo/tape player works, there can be quite a demand for it. I've known a few people who have had that system but it is either damaged or simply doesn't work and they wanted to restore it. But trying to find such unique parts (that work) is becoming very difficult.
Good find.

It's an 84-86 Berlinetta console, before 84 the Berlinetta used the standard Camaro dash and console. It might be worth something to a Berlinetta owner, but you'd have to find the right buyer. Ebay would be your best bet to unload it.

My Ex back in high school had an 85 with that dash/console set-up. Pretty neat looking but it was a PITA too.
......I bet you could go years and not get more than a few bucks for it. Then out of the blue you could find someone doing a resto and they'd probably pay hundreds for it. It's a crapshoot.
