The ZZ5 cam is very mild (imo)
yes the Fastburns are like the vortec heads and will need the SDP tpi intake.
That intake will also need ported to bring out the real power.
Im betting you could also buy just the overpriced short block too.

GM list the cam as the 208*/221* .474/.510 lift cam as the ZZ5. Ive seen others list it as a different cam. Id believe GM over the rest. this is the same cam in the ZZ3/ZZ4. this is still a mild cam but honestly the heads flow so much air you'll want to for sure port the vortec base and a good set of larger runners just to feed this thing. an engine like this really needs a holley stealth ram or miniram. id use everything it has until the warranty is up then change the cam to something a lil more healthy. plenty of cams for EFI SBC's in the 220*-242* duration at .050 lift to really utilize these heads

yea i bought my ZZ3 for $300. crate engines are way over priced
