hey guys, just figured i would drop my first post here. I just picked up my first thirdgen a few months ago. It was supposed to be a simple cheap steal that would be my DD for a short while, but way to much of a hassle. I ended up with a 1990 3.1 V6 Bird for $800. It supposedly needed a new starter, however me and my best friend (whom you guys know as Doward on here) pissed around with it for awhile, and that thing is dead. i was gonna do supercharged 3.1 setup (similar to Dowards turbo'd 3.1) however i came across a great deal on a TPI 350 tucked away in junkyard while parts hunting. Finally decided since this is my first project that i wanted to go Carbed for simplicity and since Doward happens to have his whole clip out of his Camaro (rebuilding with forged internals) we decided to swap cars. im actually not a big fan of T-Tops which my bird has, as well as the electrical nightmare of power locks and windows all of which are not on his camaro. Figured i would start off with basic 350+headers and exhaust and work from there, if i get that far and want the power options, i can always add them later. So after changing gameplans multiple times the final goal is to build the Camaro with the 350 and Doward will drop his turbo 3.1 into my bird, which apparently he is gonna do a TA replica with. Im sure i will be on here for plenty of help though!
