i own a 1987 camero mut. i have big plans for it 1st im going to do a compleate strip down .

well ok heres the deal it has a 2.8 in it i looked it up online and the vin is for a 305 . well ok so somone took out the motor. well also the back bumper says it and everything . it says 2.8 and well the trans looks new but i will have to take that out if i want to do a 350 edelbrock . well ok some of the interor parts are from a 1984 2.8 . i looked up the vin . the body is from a 3.5 thought . the car is now purple but it used to be red and i think the bumpers are blue . how can i tell the year of the motor. the motor does not look to be a 1984 it looks newer.

any one want a very cheap good running v6 trans and motor in upstate ny. .
also how can i decode the code in the center console . all the codes in there . does any one no .....

i plan to bring this car back to perfect shape . but i would like to reseach its history befor i no.


future plans gm performace parts 350 for a dirttrack car. and a th 350 or th 400 trans . whats the best to use.

 

on TGO's homepage, their's a program you can install and you type in the series of 3 letter/number groupings one at a time, and it tells you everything. some things come up as "code not found" but most show up. or if you dont feel like downloading it, PM me the code and i'll run it and send the results back to yas. good luck.
