WS6 VIN
The VIN will tell you where it was made, what engine it had, blah blah blah, it won't tell you if the car had WS6. Look on the top of the radiator support for a stamped plate with various codes. If it was a WS6 car, I'd expect the code WS6 to be stamped there.

If not under the hood, it should be on the build sticker which I think on 84s was located in the rear trunk area, probably in the little "glove box" on the driver side rear. WS6 shuld be listed there. Another hint is if you look at your driver side door jamb, the tire sticker (if its still there) will show 15 inch wheels if its a WS6. WS6 from 82-84 had 15 inch wheels, while 14s were standard. In 1985, 15 inch wheels were made and standard and 16 inch wheels reserved for the WS6 package.

2) THe SPID sheet was placed in the center console from its inceptin in 84 thru about mid 1991, when it was relocated to the rear area in the car, which in my opinion is a better place for it. Why they stick it on a non-permanent part of the car is beyond me. They should have placed it on some sheet metal and not on some removable plastic piece.

the WS code was not always on the body trim tag
it was funny sometimes like this
youll have to go by the vin code to knwo if its a t/a or s/e or neither, but it wont help you with determing if its a WS6,
to know that if it doesnt have a WS code on the tag and doesnt have a buildsheet or anything else you will have to assume its a WS6 if it has the right brake system and sway bar diameters and steering box and springs and so on, the right ones for a WS6 for that particular year, as not all years of WS6 parts/equipment were identical in size and such
good luck
