83 L69 carb question

What part number do you have on your 83 L69 carb? Mine is 17084201 but I think it should be 17083205. I think my carb is from an 84, which means its not original.

And does it have one or two vacuum brakes?

Car: Yes
Engine: Usually
Transmission: Sometimes
Axle/Gears: Behind me somewhere
Here's my stock 83 L69 carb.

I'm too lazy to go get the #s.

Yes your carb is from 84. It is wrong for 83 as far as the number, although I doubt that there's any significant actual parts difference between the 2, in factory stock form (as opposed to "rebuilt", which could be just about anything inside there). Mostly what that tells me, is that somebody has had their peter pullers in it, which means all bets are off as to what's ACTUALLY inside it.
