Original Shift ****
How can i tell if my car originally came with the round plastic shift **** or the round leather wrapped one. I have seen many 85's with both. It is an 85 with an automatic.

Re: Original Shift ****
Hmm... in 1982 and '83 when I had Z28s, IIRC, the leather wheel, **** and brake handle were standard parts of the "Z28 Option." So unless that changed, which it apparently must have, I'd think an IROC most certainly would've come standard with those leather features, too.
However, the "Leather Appointment Group" became a separate option for Trans Ams, so maybe it became a separate option for Zs too.
I know that doesn't really help you out here, but at least it might help get the ball rolling on your topic. It's like a BBQ--burn something and everyone will surround you and give you advice. Or in cases like this, post up some wrong info, like I might have, and people will swarm to correct you. So let's watch and see...
