Re: RPO Code Sheet location
Those are the only places that I've ever seen them. all 4 of my 3rd gens have had them in one of those locations...It was probably removed by a previous owner.

Re: RPO Code Sheet location
As Jdezzy stated it was probably removed by a PO.I've always thought the SPID should have been attached to a more permanent part of the car.You can get information from Pontiac Historical(PHS)on your car but I'm not sure if it will give you all the option codes the SPID decal has on it.
Re: RPO Code Sheet location
82-83 Don't have them, 84-91.5 they're in the center console, 91.5-92 they're in the locking glovebox in the trunk.
Most other GM vehicals they're in the glovebox, or on the bottom of the trunk lid.
Sometimes you can go to a GM dealer and they can look up the codes by the vin at the parts counter. It's hit and miss though, just like finding a counter person that knows what they're doing.

Re: RPO Code Sheet location
thanks for the help...ya its gone...if its in the center console would it be on the lid or in the storage part...can it be at the bottom of the trunk storage or only on the door?
Re: RPO Code Sheet location
On the 85-91 birds its usually on the side inside the console. 84-91 Camaro have them on the bottom of the lid. When they're in the trunk they're on the bottom of the glovebox lid. You could also try looking for a build sheet, but it might very well be a waste of time. In fact, I'd almost guarentee it's a waste of time.

If your darn lucky (really darn lucky) you might find the build sheet in your car somewhere, like under the rear seats, etc.
Just an extreme roll of the dice here.

Re: RPO Code Sheet location
I've found the build sheet to 2 of my 3 3rd gens under the carpet under the drivers seat...but they were mostly deteriorated by the time I got to them.
Re: RPO Code Sheet location
I've had the carpet out of at least 5 thirdgens and most of the time they still had the plastic between the seat tracks and the carpet. I've never seen a buildsheet between the carpet and the body. FWIW

Re: RPO Code Sheet location
Look under the drivers seat, or under one of the back seats....My most recent thirdgen had one under each place....Tom
Re: RPO Code Sheet location
The point you're missing is that many don't have them at all. It's a combination of the build sheet sometimes never being put in the car to begin with, and people removing them. In many cases you can completely tear the car apart and never find one.

Drew,
In contrast I found my build sheet under the carpet on the passenger side, about where the convertor hump is...

Re: RPO Code Sheet location
It's an extreme long shot. Unless the car has to come apart for other reasons, I wouldn't tell someone to go pulling their seats and carpet in hopes that there MIGHT still be a legible build sheet under the carpet. I've pulled the carpet and complete interiors out of several cars and I've never found a build sheet under the carpet. I've done complete changeovers from gray, or brown, to black on three cars, utilizing complete donor cars. That alone accounts for 6 cars that have had every panel removed. I've also pulled the carpet out of 3 other cars to pressure wash stains and odors, or to replace with new carpet, still no build sheets. If you consider how many times I've had carpet pulled up to install stereo wiring, power seat wiring, nitrous feed lines, etc without seeing any hints of a buildsheet, it's really not something I'd bother looking for.
I'm not saying that it's impossible that it'll be there, I'm just saying it's not worth tearing down the car to try to find something that has a 50/50 chance of being there.
