Question about '86 T/A I might buy
I found a T/A in the neighbouring city that I go to school in. It's been for sale for a while, but It's in pretty damn good shape. White ext. with black vents, black interior, hardtop, 305 Carb'd, auto, p/w, p/l, ext. painted wheels, Ground FX, unknown mileage, but it's got some rust on drivers door, and probably under the Ground FX, but the floor, rockers, and trunk are mint from what I could see. Factory undercoat car, and stuff like that.
I offered the guy 1k, was I too high?

Re: Question about '86 T/A I might buy
I think your about right
1) its an LG4, The lowest horsepower variation of the V8 in a 3rd gen.
2) it has not run since... when... this is not a good thing mind you, as things like seals tend to dry out when not regularly lubricated.
All in all 1K is a fair offer, if he passes he is nuts, considering there is probably more wrong with it than you are aware of...

I went and looked at it with the hood up and stuff, both shock towers are there, but the motor looked really rough, Although I know a guy with a 472 sitting on his shop floor...
