Found an '87 Z28
The body was in good condition, no rust that I could see, I just took a quick look, but it seemed fairly straight. The front fenders, and nose were gone, but the wheelwells were intact. It's a 305 TPI, Auto, t-top car. Interior is garbage, and the wheels were garbage aswell. But it looked like a fairly decent resto-car. What should I offer him for it? By next thursday I'll have over 1300$ in the bank, and my dad is fairly interested aswell. Thanks, KP.

how many miles? can you drive it around the block?
look that thing over for rust ten times, and if its rust free, and has decent miles offer him 800-1000. you're gonna have to put some money into it to even make it look like a camaro again, so keep that in mind as well.

Re: Found an '87 Z28
I'd go for the low end of that. $800. Fenders for these cars run a bunch. About $100 per, and then they need paint. A new nose isn't a cheap item either, about $250, plus the fun of finding all the right bolts. Plus bad interior and wheels. Well, if it was complete, with good interior and wheels I could see giving him 1600-1800. But it sounds far from it.
Factor in that the only way you're getting a cheap interior is if someone switched their colors and wants to get rid of their junk, and you can see you'll probably be spending more than you would on a more decent car. But this one will be more personal.

Thanks guys, Here in windsor we have a place called Cross Canada, and they sell every piece for the body panels, aswell as bolt sets, so thats all good. But the interior kinda scares me, it was really rough. It would need carpet back to front, but from what I could see, the only rust was on the rims.

Cross Canada sells panels made in Asia and usually fitment is a issue. If you don't want to order from the USA, you can try BC, but its expensive. (I used to work in the auto industry in TO and Vancouver. Canadian in USA now)

By the time you get the car decent you'll have at least 3 - 4000 dollars in it, and more for any upgrades that come later on. Are you sure you'd rather do all the work and parts chasing to get the car fixed up? $4000 will buy a pretty nice late 80s, early 90s, Camaro around here. Fourth gen cars are in that range too these days. (If it's a labor of love, you just want to tackle a project car, ignore my post.)
