87 Iroc, G92 5sp convertible?
Seller on ebay is touting the rareness of this Iroc. Any thoughts on this vehicle? If the link is not supposed to be posted, please delete it mods. Anyway, the car is a 1987 TPI, G92 5 speed Iroc convertible. I know the extremely rare ones are the z28 (like Willie's), but I was not sure if this Iroc fell in the same category. Thanks.

Re: 87 Iroc, G92 5sp convertible?
A 5 speed convertible is rare. Add to it that it's an 87 convertible and now we're talkin even more rare. Then add to it that it's a G92 convertible with 5 speed and I will agree with the seller that this is a rare car. How rare? No one really knows.
BTW, the rear end of the car is sexier than the rear end of the girl in the pic. Sorry folks but when selling a car, leave the girlfriend out. If I was interested in shopping for girly photos, looking at car ads is the last place I'd look!

Yea but the cars rear end is probably not as old as the womans rear end either. Give the cars time and it will show age as well

My cousin had the same identical car. He sold it for 7,000. I guess he did not know what he had because the guy that bought it turned around and sold it for 14,000

This one now says winning bid $11,450. I think the new owner has a nice ride (the car, not the girl) at a good price.

Thanks for the feedback fellas. This would be the perfect car to compliment my t-top 87TPI 5sp G92, but I don't have the extra cash.
I wonder if the seller let it go for that price.
I agree with the a$$ comments.

IN 1987 RPO G92 was nothing more then a gear ratio change to a 3:42 ratio on a 5-sp car. G92 is a RPO option and not a car model.

Yeah, I know, I'm not that much of a newbie. Just put it on there as a tag to show that I have the same car in t-top form. I put G92 in the title because I thought that option made the listed convertible a little rarer, not because it was a car model. Guess I should have put 87 Iroc convertible WITH 5sp, G92.
