Can you run the vin to find out the RPO codes a car has? I would like to find out what options my two cars had. But the firebirds is missing and the camaro is un readable.

Re: RPO codes

The firebird just ship it off to http://www.phs-online.com/ pay the money then you will have a little package that will come.

or just take it down to a dealership in the parts department they should.

The Camaro just go to the dealership & ask them to run the RPO codes off for ya.

Re: RPO codes

I had a dealer print out my RPO list from the VIN.. Actually I didn't ask.... The parts guy just did it to show me it could be done The list matched the codes my SPID sticker in the center glove compartment between the seats..

This was when the car was about 8 years old. I think they can only go back a certain amount of years.. But I don't know for sure.

Actually, PHS is not able to get any information on '87 or newer cars due to a restructuring at GM internally.

Re: RPO codes

And cars built prior to '89-'90 it gets spotty whether they are still in the system. And yes it varies from different dealer part's department as to them being willing to do it.It actually doesn't take them long(I did it for my '95 Jimmy about 3 years ago because the SPID was missing)to look it up with the VIN(use your vehicle registration for the VIN source)it's more if they are willing to do it.
