Qucik guage cluster question for 90-92 Camaros

I have a quick question; I have a 91 Z vert that the previous owner swapped the gauge cluster out of due to a busted tach. The SES light in the one in the car now is green. I have another cluster that has a yellow SES light, and I'm wondering which one is the correct one for the car so I can put it in (the 90-92 gauge cluster does seperate into different gauges if you pull the black trim panel off). Maybe someone with one they know is original could help me. Thanks!

Yellow/Orange is correct, but green is cool!

Re: Qucik guage cluster question for 90-92 Camaros

I do not think that a Green SES light was ever a GM installed item.

Usually the lights glow in color by the importance.

Least Important GREEN:
Turn Signals
Bright lights indicator ( sometimes Blue )

More important ORANGE/Amber:
SES or Check Engine Soon
Shift light
Airbag Light
Traction Control Lights (NA on 3rd gens)
Low Washer Fluid light (NA on 3rd gens)
Low Coolant light (NA on 3rd gens)

Most Important RED:
BRAKE Indicator lights
BATT or GEN indicator lights
Low Oil Lights (NA on 3rd gens)

THere are exceptions to the above but for the most part thats usually how they are on GM cars & Trucks. One exception is my 67 Riviera has a RED high beam indicator light...

Re: Qucik guage cluster question for 90-92 Camaros

awesome. i'll assume then that the light should be yellow and swap out the tach only. thinking about it, the tach i have for it may have come out of a 91 RS. not 100% sure tho, and that's why i asked. thanks!
