Correct interior door handle screw cover for 89 GTA?
Can't believe I didn't notice this sooner, but today someone pointed out to me that my door handle screw covers don't match. The passenger side has a gold firebird emblem on it and the driver's side has just a regular gray plastic cover. Obviously one of the covers had been replaced at one point. The question is, which one is correct for my car? The gold one, or the regular gray one? My OCD won't allow the two covers to not match.
If no one knows what part I'm talking about, I can snap a pic tomorrow.

Mike, I know what you're talking about. I've never seen one of those screw covers that had a gold Firebird emblem on it. Both my '88 GTAs have the grey plastic cover with a Firebird cut in relief on them.... the GM number on those matched for all Firebird models according to GM parts books.
They were still recently available from GM, as I purchased a few extras after one on my red GTA broke off. I can try to locate one and get you the number today if you wish.
Anybody else have other info?

The bird ones should be the ones you are supposed to have.
Someone probably painted the one (or maybe both when the other was still there). I have the same covers, and before I did the custom door panels, I painted the birds in those covers silver, using model paint and a toothpick.
