Getting a Camaro RS need help

Sup guys Im new here, Right now I have a 1997 S10 just as a first car, but now im selling it and Im getting a Camaro RS, really nice looking heres a picture.

Its a Camaro RS, its a freinds stepfathers car for sale, I didnt get to talk to him. Im not sure if its a V8 or V6. If its a V6 Ill be really dissapointed, but Im still going to take it. Does anyone know?

By the way, Im not sure what year it is, but it has 103,xxx Miles. Pretty sweet. Its auto, hard-top, Interior is in really good condition, just the driver seat hasa couple of rips, has IROC-Z Rims heres a pic (just missing the centercap)

Sorry I know the pics are huge. So if anyone can help me out Id really appriciate it. Thanks guys

Re: Getting a Camaro RS need help

Well, on the outside, it looks more like Z28 or an IROC . . . fog lights, hood louvers, the wheels, but hey, those things can be changed. I'm comparing this to mine, a 90' RS that's bone stock, and it has horizontal slats for a grill, while that one has the grill seen on Z28's and IROC's. And as far as I know, all the RS grills had the horizontal slats.

As for the year, well, does it have a airbag with half-moon cluster and 6 digit odometer? if so, safe bet its a 90-92 car. The only sure fire way to know is look at the VIN number and RPO codes listed inside the center console. But, if that car is original, from what I see, it looks like Z28, which would mean a V8 under the hood. Few more pics and RPO listing would really help.

Hope this helps.

Welcome.

If you do end-up discovering it's actually a Z28 / Iroc-Z, don't tell your friend's stepdad or he may end up asking more for it!

Good luck.
