87-92 Interior color breakdown?

Just wondering if anyone knows how many different kinds of "tan" interiors there were on Firebirds in the later years.
From what I know, there was Beechwood, Beige and Camel? My 92 TA has beige cloth, my 91 GTA has beechwood leather. Which one is Camel? Was the TTA beechwood also? Am I just imagining Camel as being a real name, is it just the general name given to all tan interior cars?

Also, according to GTASource page 91 cars had beechwood and the 92s had beige, both cloth and leather. There wasn't really a color change right? Just a name change?

It seems that my GTA is some sort of factory freak, it has 2600 miles, the rear hatch panels have never been taken apart but the hatch plastics are 3 clearly different colors! Not faded to a different color but clearly different?

I'll post some pics tonight.

Re: 87-92 Interior color breakdown?

I know from Camaro to Firebird the names of the colors changed but the color was the same. Especially Paint colors.

I would think that the colors are all similar, however for most years. Here are some color numbers for you:

? = different trim levels. For example
A = would be the lowest Basic trim, Base on Camaro (High back buckets?)
B = AR9 second lowest trim this would be the Base on Firebird
C = AR9 Deluxe interior, in 1987 for example it had the seatback pockets, the molded door panels. 1988 & 1989 I think up were only the seats as the molded door panels were only with the AQ9 seats.
D = Cloth The AQ9 Articulating seats
2 = Leather AQ9 seats

62? - 1987 Med Saddle
66? - 1988 - 1992 Beechwood

i really am not sure how different the colors really are...

One thing to consider is the fabrics were different for some years

On the Firebird there were three levels to the seating,
1987 - 1992 The Standard seats, which were the plain seats, there were no seatback pockets, the bottoms were basically flat.

1987 - 1989 The "Custom" seats had the seatback pockets and the seat bottom had the contour with a leg bolster.

1987 - 1989 The "Deluxe" seats were the Articulating Lear Siglar seats AKA Ultima seats or more commonly or incorrectly GTA seats.

1990 - 1992 Starting in 1990 "Deluxe" name was dropped and the seats were now "Custom" as they no longer offered the mid grade seats with the seatback pockets.

Once more the following materials were used from year to year...
1987 Ripple - Standard seats, Pallex on the Deluxe and Custom seats
1988 & 1989 Pallex - Standard seats, Metrix on the Deluxe and Custom seats
1990 & UP - Pallex 308WC Tara WTL cloth.

Of course the Leather seats in 1987 used Sierra Leather (Very rare) and the 1988 & up seats used Ventura Leather.

I hope that helps
