I just bought an 88 GTA. In the absence of the RPO codes, where is the most likely place to find and access the build sheet. I am confident that it is a legitimate GTA, but would like to have the build sheet.

Congrats on the GTA buy. What color is it? Got any pics?

As for the build sheet - I found my build sheet under the carpet in the hatch area. It was attactched by a clear plastic tie (similar to those used on attaching price tags to clothes).

The RPO Tag is missign in my car, but I went to the dealership with my cars reg. and they were able to give me a print out of my cars RPO codes at the parts department. They need to know RPO's when they get parts so I took a chance.

OR atleast they did it for me at the dealership I go to it is worth a try.

 

You can check for one under the carpet, underneath the seats front and back, behind the door panels, and ive heard of them being on top of the gas tanks if the car is a california car.
