faded RPO codes...how to read????
just picked up a 1986 IROC...sicker is mounted on the side of the console instead of the top lid...anyway, the codes are faded and some can be read...maybe...
does anyone have an idea how to read faded codes or any tricks to pulling them out?

You could try taking some good digital pictures of it using different methods (different light levels, angles, flash, no flash, etc). Then using your desktop and a image editor, you can zoom in or out, change the contrast, sharpness, colours, saturation levels, etc. There might be a chance to make out a few more. Save the best pics for future historical records.

If you find someone who is good at photoshop I'm sure they could do it. I've seen some ridiculously faded photos brought back before. Other than that just stare at it till you can make them out...
