RPO Codes, where are they???

I can't find my RPO codes anywhere. After searching in the message boards I looked in my glove box, door jams, trunk, trunk storage compartment. No such luck. Anyone have other suggestions. I hope they weren't removed.

My car is an 83Z28 by the way. Thanks in advance for your help.

82 and 83 didn’t have any. 84 was the first year for the SPID, Service Parts Identifier (sticker with the RPOs), you can check the cowl tag, it has some info but not much. you may also be able to find the build sheet, comman places to look are under the front seats, or under the carpet but it could be anywhere. I think one person found theirs build sheet in the door.

Thanks for the info. That sucks because I dont wan to take the car apart I just wanted to check on some things.

I suspect my T-tops are not factory, I wanted to check on that. I read on here somewhere that you can tell by the gap between the windshield and the t-top. Mine looks to be bigger than most plus there is no plastic arond them so I think I might have aftermarket.

I know it might be a long shot but can anyone tell by this picture if I have aftermarket t-tops. Maybe I should start a new thread.

Those look like the C&C t-tops, which are not factory. check the cowl tag. If you have factory t-tops you will also have CC1 listed in the cowl tag.

Those are C&C T-tops, not factory. You can tell by the trim pieces going across the roof and the distance between the windshield and where the tops start.

OUCH! That hurts but its good to know the truth. The question now is:

If I want o replace the headliner, will a regular t-top headliner fit? Or do I have to get a specific one from C&C?
