Re: 1987 GTA Restoration
I have finally decided to go with the 1989 Turbo TA rear emblem. In my opinion it matches the other GTA emblems way better. I dropped my seats off to get redone today. The shop is going to refinish them in the same exact material as original. Here are the pics of the seats before

I also ordered the complete weatherstrip kit from Hawk's. It is manufactures by softseal. I have already put the strips on the doors and they look great. No complaints. I have also started to put the ground effects back on. I have been taking my time to actually sand down every nut and bolt if it has any rust on them and then repaint it in SEM original flayt black. I will take a bunch more pics to post. Getting there.

Well been a while since i last posted. car is coming along nicely. just picked up an sd card just for car pics so i will be posting alot of pics real soon. got my seats back from being redone and they look brand new, real pretty. Got the front end back on and all lined up. real easy considering all parts were original gm. one thing i will say is it takes alot more time than what i though to get the car right. one pic i will post is this. the emblems i bought are nice but here is what happens when you overt tighten the stud to install the nose emblem on. nice life. 62 dollars later i will be more careful

Only 91-92 GTA's had adhesive to hold on the nose emblem. All early ones from 87-90 had a stud.

Well here a few pics showing some of the progress. Got the Hawk's fiberglass spoiler put on. Fits good but some areas I am not completely satisfied with.

Re: 1987 GTA Restoration
Car is done! Here are all the pics. I must say it was more than a worthwhile endeavor. Car turned out fantastic and everything is right! By that I mean all the little things like the correct color hood vent inserts, all the screws are the correct color, all the emblems are correct as well as where they are placed. I am sure I have some other comments but check out the pics and let me know what you think. Thanks!
