Iroc vin number?

Iroc vin number?
I am a firebird man as most of you know but my brother is a camaro man and is currently looking at a 85 iroc. The car has a 350 engine(not original) but came with a 305, did any irocs come with a 305 and what is the rpo code that distinguishes the iroc from a rs and z28?

All '85 and '86 IROCs came with 305's.

Don't know what you are looking for in the VIN to distinguish an IROC-Z, but the RPO Code is B4Z, along with the Z28 code.

The B4Z code was used to distinguish the IROC-Z from regular Z28s in 85-87. In 1988-90, all IROC-Zs used RPO code Z28. So to verify if a car is an IROC-Z, look for B4Z and Z28 in 1985-87 and Z28 only in 1988-90.
