Hi everyone,

I am looking at buying a '90 IROC convertible and decoded the SPID and saw something unusual and was hoping you guys can help. The car is a 40U white exterior car with 82C dark gray interior. However, the stripe color is code 90A two tone Gold/Dark Auburn. If this is the case, what color should the IROC be? I can't even find this color combination in any of the resto decal sets. By the way, the car has been repainted and the stripes and decals are now all black. Has anyone else seen this factory combo?

The color code you found was a reused RPO color code. The stripes on your car should be a silver/yellow, silver/black or black/red. I'm not sure which one based on the code, but someone else will chime in. GM reused RPO codes over the years so you found one that was changed after 1990.

 

I did not think about that, I just used the RPO decoder on this site. Ill bet it was the black/gray since that was what whoever painted it put back on it. If anyone else has input, I would love to hear it.
