1992 B4C

I have a 1992 Camaro B4C- That is listed as to being 1 of 50 that were
released to the general public. This car differs from most 92 B4c's to the fact
that it has the deluxe interior also a factory CD player. It has all the option
codes 1LE B4C L98, the car is Red in color with 100K on it but yet it is in
pristine condition- body- interior-engine. I also have a regular police car 92
b4c. I am curious as to aprox how many of the original 589 are left today? I
would also like to know if anyone else out there has one of the 50 like mine.

Re: 1992 B4C

It is a tall order, and honestly impossible to actually get a legitimate count on the total number of cars left. There are some cases where the VIN was never reported to have been totaled, I have a few VIN's like that from junkyard cars that the car was never reported as Totalled, but burned horribly. So there bay be technically LESS than what would be reported.

The ONLY way to actually get the true number of cars left would be to seek out the last known owner. You would have to get the List of VIN's for all of the cars in question, Then you would have to do a carfax & Autocheck search on each VIN. THEN you would have to contact each state where the car was last registered, and BEG for the owners name... I do not think states hand out the information...

Interestingly enough, you can actually do a search on the web for the owner of Aircraft by Serial number, Make, Model, N-Number... But it is impossible to get information on cars... not really sure why honestly.

Good luck

John

Re: 1992 B4C

I am guessing you mean one of 50 that never made it to law enforcement use? Alot of the Hawaii B4C cars were privately owned by police officers, and were not marked cars. My 1991 was like that, my 1992 was a marked fleet interceptor. I agree, the percentage of surviving cars is prob pretty low. Either way, you have a great car, hang on to it! I'd love to have a red b4c!

Re: 1992 B4C

We ran a check on this car- it was ordered by an individual it was spotted by a salesman
that realized what the car was and he bought it out from under the guy that ordered it.
sounds kinda dirty but that is what happened. I am the third owner of the car. I do plan
on keeping the car- wouldn't give it up for anything- as my X tried to get it in my recent divorce So it is now mine and my fiance's pride and joy.
