How rare are these wheels?
These are original SLP Firehawk that are from the original lot of wheel made for the 91 Firehawk. They were set out by SLP to be repainted in gray and sold to the public. What are they worth? Are they valuable?

Those are just plain sweet, are they yours?
They were $900 per set a few yrs back when Ronal made the last batch, since they have shut down the US division, they are no longer available and the prices have gone up. I have heard of them selling for twice as much at times, but at other times they just don't sell for that price.
I will give you $501!!!

AS far as I know Ronal is still around, they just don't sell to the public anymore. they just sell to manufactures as an oem supplier. They got out of the retail business about a year to two ago.
I have a set I bought for 1000.00 when they where still will in production so I would think at least that much. You could stick them on ebay as see what happens.

Re: How rare are these wheels?
Those would not be from a 1992 Firehawk. The Firehawks had special center caps, granted there were several designs, some with just "Firehawk" text, others with the Firehawks Bird (which was the same as the Firehawk tire logo)
The Red cars got Red, the White car White, Blue car Blue, etc...
SLP did offer them as they did not sell as many cars as they thought they would so they may be from that era. Personally I would not buy them because they were from 1991 or 1992.
As I think about it, I think some of the 1993 Firehawks did use the same wheel, I am not sure if they had a different offset or not, nor am I sure if they had SLP, or Firehawk on the Wheels.

Re: How rare are these wheels?
When SLP first took pre-orders for them, I was told by them that these rims where from the original batch for the original firehawk and that they sent out to have the red paint removed and the gray put on for a more universal rim. So I got put on the list. These wheels have been in my basement for along time. They are brand new never used.
The reason for this thread is that I'm about to purchase a Baer brake setup for Hawks and if I go with 14" rotors, these rims won't fit, so Hawks wants to buy them from me, so I was just trying to find out how rare these are.

hawks is in business to make a profit not to pay you market value.
sell them on ebay. there are a lot of people who like that kind of thing.

I know that Hawks wants in business to make money, I'm not trying to say anything about them. Just trying to get an idea of what I exactly have.

Re: How rare are these wheels?
I think the last post to you was to let you know that Hawk's can sell them at market value as a retailer, and to expect an offer of less than market value from them so they can profit from the sale. that's the whole point behind business! If you sell them yourself on eBay, you may potentially get full market value (profit) yourself. Good luck as it sounds like they have the potential to carry a high price tag.
Re: How rare are these wheels?
These are fromt the original batch, I still have an SLP catalog from a while back where they had these wheels in grey with these caps.
Bruce at Hawks knows what these are worth. If you are willing to be patient and try to sell them, you can get as much as $2K, but that will definitely be on the high side. Realistically you should be able to sell them for around $1500 with a little bit of adveritising.
