When did the 1985 Firebird start Production?
Anybody know when the 1985 Firebird started production? I assume near the end of 84 but I'm wonder want month? Did the 84 model year go long?

Yes, the '84 year model ran long. Mainly for Van Nuys. I'm more on the Camaro side on production stats but this is what I've got. The Van Nuys plant built 160,862 Camaros in '84. The latest VIN I have documented is 259171 with a build week of 09C which is third week of September. 17th-21st to be exact.
Now in the book Standard Catalog of Camaro 1967-2002 the 1985 historical footnote section says general introduction was October 2, 1984 and the Camaro introduction was November 8th, 1984. If I had to make an educated guess i'd say production started Monday October 1st.
