OUICK QUESTION

I have a 85 IROC that I did a engine swap with a 87 (also a 305 tpi). If I were restoring the car would it make a difference with that motor or would I need to rebuild the 85 motor?

Re: OUICK QUESTION

I have seen people say #'s matching. What does that refer to?

Re: OUICK QUESTION

Off the top of my head

Numbers matching...
Every car has a VIN, as an example 1G1FP2188HL223456
On the Engine block and the Transmission case the following should be found 2HL223456
2 = Pontiac
H = 1987
L = Van Nuys
2 = Pontiac
23456 = Sequence number...
