More than likely it's not a rare model since it's a V6. I would say to mod away. The only thing special about a German Spec Camaro is that it was built for export from the US to German safety standards.

What would be built differently for German safety standards?

Re: German Spec Camaro

Not really sure on the German spec, but some export cars were required to have the rear taillight colors swapped around to have the yellow on the outside. I have also seen front fender side turn signals. If you look at some imports here in the States, you'll see the BMWs, Mercedes and other cars have front fender turn signals that can be seen from the side of the car. We don't have those here. Another item I've seen was the side view mirrors are required to be swing away and not fixed. We've also heard of certain models that aren't offered with a specific engine will have that engine on an export (for example, a 1991 Z28 with the LO3 instead of the LB9) These are only a few that I know of.

They are, but they aren't the same as required by Europe. It seems they have a reflector or another turn signal in the area behind the front wheels, not in front. Look up "the swede" and check out his car.
