Question about moon roofs

I have a moon roof in my 89 Formula 350 WS6. Was this factory, dealer or aftermarket? If it is dealer installed would you think it would increase or decrease the value of the car?

It makes no difference who installed it and in my opinion it decreases the value.

Re: Question about moon roofs

No thirdgen ever came with a factory-installed moonroof. It's aftermarket (perhaps dealer installed, but the moonroof itself would not have been manufactured by GM).

I agree with DJP, being aftermarket it decreases the value of the car.

It doesn't happen to be red, does it?
Way back in high school, girl I knew had a red one. Never seen another one before or since. Had two huge black rails that went the entire length of the roof. The moonroof would then slide up, then back on these rails. I assume it was electric, but I really don't remember.

I have no clue who would have cut something like this, but it took alot of work. It looked very professional, but honestly, the finished product wasn't really attractive. I probably haven't seen that car in 15 years.

Re: Question about moon roofs

No sir, it's blue. I think some people don't know the difference between a sun rooof and moon rooof. A sun roof is metal. A moon roof is glass.
