Various interior issues/questions
Hi guys,
Have just picked up an 88 Vert IROC. Needs some TLC especially on the interior and have a few questions.
1) Heater/fresh air vents. 1 is broken, how do you replace them- I know there is a nub at the top and bottom but any guidance appreciated. Plus they move around on their own accord. What is the best way to add resistance- did the factory use pads? Where can I buy them from?
2) The indicator/ turn signal/wiper stalk has at some stage broekn and been superglued back. Are they generally available and if so from where? The white details on them are rubbed away is there a fix for this? same on window and trunk switch.
Appreciate your help
Felix

Gently pry the vents out.Not sure if your talking about center ones or sides. But no special tools required. Once you get them out, you'll see the decayed little plastic stickers basically that provide that slight resistance. I used felt with a sticky backing that was meant for the bottoms of chairs and stuff. Some people use a thin foam rubber. Whatever gets the job done.
New stalk will be pricey. Classic industries will get you a new one. I would try to find used from some of the great sponsors/guys here on the boards that have a collection of used stuff.
Good luck
