AACA Museum Exhibit

I found out that the AACA Museum is having an exhibit of Camaros and Firebirds from Oct. 23 into April of next year. They are looking at the whole model run across all generations. The emphasis is going to be on limited editions, performance models, and factory prototypes. I am not expecting much more than a GTA Kammback, a TTA and a 15th along with Irocs and maybe the yellow IROC concept. Firehawk too. Other than those I don't know what else is going to be there for third gens. Seems to be about 30 cars in all.

If I find out more I will post it up. For more info go to the AACA Museum website and look under Upcoming exhibits.

What about the "Firefox" GTA-T/A, do you think it will be there?

Considering GM doesn't own the car anymore I am not sure. I'd be willing to bet the Banshee might be there. I am thinking the cars are coming from private hands and the Heritage collection. Also don't forget Camaros are also gonna be there. I'm expecting a close to if not 50-50 split between the Pontiacs and Chevys.

I'm definitely going to see the exhibit, just don't know when. If I go before the end of the year I'll post up photos of what was there.

Re: AACA Museum Exhibit

Ok guys,
No definite answers for third gen cars in their updated description. But here is what I've got.

1987 Banshee will be there for sure

mentioned in the article
1987 Formula 5.7?
1985 Iroc-Z?

They also mention special editions and some of the best cars built in the same paragraph.

So... heres an educated guess on the third gen section.

15th Anniversary TA
89 Turbo TA
Firehawk
1LE Camaro
1LE Firebird
possible verts

Off the point but these cars will be there for sure
1973 SD-455 TA
1978 TA (Burt Reynold's car)
1969 ZL1 (all original)
1969 COPO
1969 Pace car
1967 Big Block vert
1968 USA1 Bruce Larson drag car
2002 Camaro vert (last one?)
2002 WS6 TA built on last day of production (NOT THE LAST ONE)

Possibly the 2nd gen Kammback
possibly the other two Banshees (II and III) Original F-body banshee is reportedly destroyed (not the two seaters)

The exhibit will have over 20 cars in all.
