Sequence Numbers

I've seen people post on these boards that they have an early or late model year car, etc and wonder how they figure that out.
I have a 1991 and the VIN sequence number is greater than the total production number for 1991 which is said to be 100,838. What's up with that?

Re: Sequence Numbers

I think they start with 100,001 so that number should be 200,839.

Re: Sequence Numbers

The month and year of manufacture should be on a sticker on the driver's door jamb.

Re: Sequence Numbers

My guess is your car was made in around February of 1990... The ASC conversion would be later, so the ASC decal may have a different date, possibly March or April.
