Canadian L82's?

I was messing around on the "How rare is your car" thing, and I found that in 1986, there were 565 L82 (70's Corvette motor) Camaros. Anyone in Canada here know why?

Re: Canadian L82's?

L82 was the six cylinder engine wasn't it? L82 is not the same code across all cars.

Re: Canadian L82's?

L82 on the master GM list shows to be a 3.1HO-V6, an '86 V6 would be a LB8 2.8 V6. Camaros did not get the 3.1 untill 1990 (and the RPO was LH0) Maybe Canadian cars were different?
