production date sticker
The sticker inside my door is blacked out under the top layer of plastic. I cant read when my car was made, is there a way to run the number in my vin to narrow it down?
I used to do that with old john deeres, figured there was a waqy to do it on here.

Re: production date sticker
Just take off the sticker, get a slightly damp paper towel, and keep lightly pushing it down, not rubbing, only pushing down. You may be able to get the date visible, you may not.
If you can't, I'd suggest just going to a GM dealer, and asking them to look up the VIN for you, since they already pay for the Carfax and what not. They'll be able to figure it out.
Apparently my IROC was made in 7/86, I wish it would have been a month later, we could of celebrated our birthdays together. I can imagine it now, me sitting out in the garage in the Camaro, eating cake.

Start here... It might not find your vin, but if it does it'll save you some trouble.
