I need some help with 1989 IROC RPO Codes.

My first car was a 1982 TA red with black around the bottom. It had the 305 vin H in it. The car had around 83000 on it. It was fun and I miss it. I found this 1989 IROC and was going to resale it, but I have gotten quite fond of it. I have not drove the car, but it has been sitting under my car port. The car has 56000 actual miles and it has been sitting most of its life. The person that had it before me may have had it repainted, because it does not have any stripes or IROC Z decals on the doors. Everything is unmolested on the car but where it has sit in the weather for so long, the interior, paint, and rubber is showing its age. My question is can someone tell me something about this car? I have the RPO codes. The color of the car is black with black interior and it has T-tops. The rear bumper and emission decal under the hood says 5.7. It is tuned port with an automatic. Should I consider keeping the car and restoring it? I do not see these cars much any more that are not unmolested, engines changed, or the tune port removed and a carb installed. I don't get that last one. The RPO codes are as follows: AC3 AG9 AM9 AR9 AU3 A01 A31 A90 B2L B18 B34 B35 B48 B84 B91 CC1 CD4 C49 C60 DC4 DG7 DX3 D27 D34 D42 D6E D80 E5Z E7Z E9Z FE2 GH3 G80 IPC J65 K34 K68 L98 MD8 MXO NA5 NP5 N33 N64 N96 QLC TR9 TT4 T93 T96 UB3 UQ1 UQ4 UU8 U25 U26 U29 VAN VK3 V73 WW4 W62 Z28 1AY 1SD 1SZ 15P 19C 191 19Q 199 41U 6ZW 7ZW 8NL 9NL BCCC WA L8555 U8555 190

Well it's a real Iroc, 350TPI, with ttops. It's got enough of the important options to be a good example of the car to be stuck with. If you want to restore it and keep it, then go for it. If not if it's in decent shape you shouldn't have any trouble selling it. Go back out to the main page and download the RPO decoder and you can crunch all the codes for yourself.

Thanks, I got it downloaded. Why would there be such an option for decal delete? What kind of cars came with the smoked tail light lens? Did all IROCs come this way?

Some people didn't like the big decals, so GM gave people the option to order the car without them (in some years). I'm not sure what would constitute a smoked tail light lense on the Camaro. They're all pretty much the same on the Camaro. Dismissing early models as being irrelevant, for 89 there were only two options. The RS tails with a single stripe across the middle, or Iroc tails with a painted grid across the lenses. Neither set is darker then the other.

Although it's for GTA cars, a lot of the RPO's listed work for Camaros as well.

That helped too on one or two of the options that were not listed. Thanks for the help.
