Hi guys,

I'm restoring an 83 pace car (probably very slowly given funds!). The paint guy is asking me what paint code the white wheels were originally. I'm suspecting it's the usual GM White code, but does anybody know different? Did GM make them themselves or did somebody else make them?

Oh if anybody has a picture of the white fin wheels without the caps on (all the shots you can see any details on I've found have the caps!) would also be appreciated. A shot of the cap would be awesome too. Mine are a bit dinged

From what I've seen the logo appears silverish on the white caps.

Feh ok back to trying to find this again.... I don't suppose this would be in somebody's owners manual somewhere! ha!

The paint guy's being a bit of a pain and still after a paint code. Are they exactly the same as the car's white colour? I've probably got the GM white code lurking around somewhere.

Anybody help?

 

Not sure about that particular year, but I know Corvettes had the same code for White from 1974-00. Sometimes called Classic White, White, or Arctic White. Same color code used on White fourth gen F-Bodies as well, and I would suspect 3rd gen's also (I really should know this as mine is White), but I'm not 100% sure.

At any rate, it's code 10 on Corvettes.

If you look at the second line on your cowl tag you will see 604 11L 11U 82M E
