Car: 85 Pontiac Firebird

Engine: 305

Transmission: 700R4

Axle/Gears: 3.23

Is my '85 a S/E?

I have an '85 Firebird. An unreliable source told me the easiest way to determine if a Firebird is a S/E is to look for the Firebird emblem on the roof pillar. Is this true? What is the VIN code for a S/E?

X in the 5th position is S/E.
