RPO for power trunk/hatch pulldown?

Is there a specific RPO for the power hatch pulldown or is it part of another package (if so, what's the RPO?)?

Thanks!

Not that I've ever seen... It wasn't an option, it was standard equipment on every 1986-newer F-body hatchback.

Strange. I wonder if both this and what Drew said are correct. I don't have the SPID sheet for my '91 Formula, but I do have it for my '91 Z28.

Both cars show "A90" on Compnine, but my Z28's actual SPID doesn't show it. Theoretically, that could mean its just an "automatic" RPO, given to all cars 86-92, as Drew mentioned.

I've started getting my '91 Formula back in running shape, and having gotten it from a 3 year stint out in a field, I'm not sure what works and what doesn't. I have the power trunk release, but either (a) the power pull down isn't there, or (b) it's dead. I haven't looked closely enough at it yet to see if it's even there.

In any case, Compnine DOES show "A90" for both cars, but neither car has "A91", even though my '91 Z28 DOES definitely have the power pulldown...

Odd.

Re: RPO for power trunk/hatch pulldown?

Every 86-up thirdgen I've ever owned has had the power trunk latch. Some have had the remote release, some haven't. When the release is present A90 is on the SPID, when the release isn't present A90 isn't there.

A91 doesn't appear on any of the SPID's I have on file, regardless.

For what it's worth, I didn't find A91 in the Camaro White Book for any year.

Re: RPO for power trunk/hatch pulldown?

I have a 85 NEWS RELEASE from Pontiac for the 86 Firebird & TA hatch. It states,"Added to all Firebird models, including Trans Am,is a power pull-down rear hatchback design. With light-handed pressure, the deck is automatically secure into the closed position thus enhancing operation and quality. The electric remote hatchback release remains as an available option" My 86 TA has the pull down but not the release button and it is not on the RPO listing in my console. So it would only show on the RPO if you had the release button
Does that help you out?
