I know many of us on here had a tough decision to make. I know many people had 2 cars in mind and picked the thirdgen over so what car was that and why did you not pick it and went with a third gen? Mine was either a 72 olds 442 or a 87 formula 350. I went with the formula because it was cheaper, fuel injected,the cost was 3,000 dollars less.

 

A Fox, no particular one. It really came down to just getting the cleanest car I could in either camp for my price range, whichever that happened to be, which turned out to be a Camaro...I think I did pretty well for a 15 year old kid.

 

I'm always on the lookout for a good deal on a project car, but mine kind of fell into my lap (bought it off a lady at work in non-running condition). We've had lots of Mustangs and even a Corvette, but there is something special about my little 305 RS. I wasn't actively looking, but a mid-90's Mustang 'vert had been on my mind for quite some time. I'm glad to have the Camaro, though- T-tops are infinitely better than any convertible we've had (of course, my T-tops do not leak and any 'vert we've had did).

I've looked at many cars and have always come back to a 3rd gen. Actually bought a 4th gen, drove it ~9,000 miles over the space of 3 years then parked it and went back to driving a 3rd gen. Every time I look at something else I just find it too expense (either initial cost or to maintain) or I just plain don't like it.

 

Had a 92 240SX that I loved, it was rendered destroyed by a bad driver, so I wanted either another one, or something else Rwd. Went to Texas with the Army, and found a 92 Camaro. No rust bad paint. Needed a tune up. Loved it. End of story lol.

 

My brother gave it to me. Not much of a decision

 

Why do these types of posts always pop up on the History and Restoration forum. This has absolutely nothing to do with H/R. Sorry guys.
