First car Good price? What do you think?
ok so i just bought my first car its a 88 trans am 305 tpi for $600 not running from craigslist this it what the ad said....
......need to sell my car because im heading to the marines the car has never been hit the motor and tranny is good motor is a 5.0 tpi with 88k on it the tranny is a 700r with a shift kit i had the drive shaft rebuilt and referbished the original set of t-tops i also have a 2nd pair to go with the car the battery is dead due to that i havent had time to play with it also the steering coloum is very loose it might need just to be tighten or needs a replacement that should go for 100 to 150 for a new or used one also the front windsheild is cracked i bought the car like this with intent to rebuild the car from ground up but i ran into money tropuble and just had no time afterwards im open to trades if nothing by the end of this week im just going to junk the car.......it also has an exhaust system
when i went to look at it, had no rust, gta rims, it started then died so i bought it...i got a battery fixed the steering column and some little electrical stuff. the problem was the computer was shot so got a new one for $180 and it ran great. did a tune up and its good, now i just need a paint job and a windshield. did i get a good deal with this car? how much u think its worth?

No one here is going to be able to tell you accurately what the car really is worth. But it sounds like you paid a fair price, not a great deal, but you came out ahead on the gamble.

Sounds like a great deal for $600 -- TPI is a big plus, as are the t-tops and GTA wheels.
Looks like you're gonna have a driver for around $1,000 invested with some elbow grease.
