paint job
i dont see too many medium maui blue camaro's around from the research i've done they only painted 3000 this color in 91 i may be wrong but i've considered changing the color but dont want to because of the history... any knowledge if keeping this original color would be valuable also i do have the original window sticker stating its color.
Re: paint job
No, historically colors seldom increase value (rare cases being Panther Pink or Plum Crazy Mopars, etc).
Maui Blue won't increase the value of our cars, however it's a beautiful color you rarely see, and to the right buyer they may just "have to have it."
Keep it stock unless you are going to strip the car to the bare shell and paint it inside and out with the new color the way the factory did.

When it comes to these cars, rarer colors can add value IF they are desireable. And, of course, its up to the buyer to decide what they value more. For instance, I bought my IROC because it was grey. If it hadn't been, I would not have bothered with it unless the price was lower. For 10 years I looked for a 350 t-top IROC with low miles, specifically in dark grey. When I found it, I had to have it, and paid more than I would've for, say, a blue one.
When I bought the red TA, the car literally could've been any '88 color and I would've paid the same. I wanted a stick/WS6/t-top car, and that was it...color didn't matter.
It really depends on who is in front of you. But I agree...don't paint it a different color and leave the jambs and under the hood the same...that's just trashy looking.
