Found buildsheet
Found buildsheet
I just pulled my build sheet out of my 87 iroc ,it was under the seat but unfortunatly it was ruined since the car has power drivers seat and I guess the heat ruined it.anybody know where I could find another one(if it's possible it has 2?)It's a van nuys car.If not is there a place to figure out what the car was originally equipped with using the vin(can't use compnine since it doesn't work on cars before 1990)It's an 8 in the eight digit of the vin so I know it's a legit iroc but the center console is long gone

Re: Found buildsheet
Be thankful you found that one!
Re: Found buildsheet
Alot of these cars came with 2 build sheets in the car. One under the drivers seat and the other behind the back seats. To get to the one in the back you will have to take the bottom cushions off an then take the back rest off an it will be in between the foam and the springs.
I know this was the case when we found my friend's buildsheets in his '80 Z28. Could also still be the case in a third gen too.

Re: Found buildsheet
Why bother? Seriously, you could hunt forever, tear the car apart and never find one. Or find one that's not legible. It's not worth the trouble obsessing over it. If you really want to know more about the car, try getting a copy of the invoice from GM.
