Need a vapor canister pic

Can someone post A pic of their vapor canister on an '87 L98 equipped car? A part number would help too. Mine was removed by the previous owner. I bought one from the classifieds here but I think it's the wrong one, it has the little round valve thing attached to it, but my car has the valve inline in the rubber hoses.

Why not order a new one specifically for your car from, say, Autozone. If it's not correct, don't accept it.

I'm not sure what's correct, that's my problem. LOL

If i could see a pic from another 87 I'd know what to look for.

Here's mine, from an 85, which is the type you describe:

Re: Need a vapor canister pic

I have three rubber hoses and an electrical connector hanging loose in there. One big, one medium, and one small hose. The biggest hose is the one with the valve.

Re: Need a vapor canister pic

Mods, feel free to move this to the engine forum if that's more appropriate (although I am trying to "restore" my car).

Re: Need a vapor canister pic

well maybe I do have the right canister after all. It looks like there are two purge valves. Is that a hard line going to the solenoid?

The only difference is yours is on the drivers side, while mine is on the pass side, but i don't think that would change anything.
