Pontiac Arrowheads for bowling ball hubcaps
Hey guys - I just wanted to share these with everyone. I have been working with an emblem guy on making a decent reproduction of the gold arrowheads for 1982 Recaro Trans Ams. He made a nice repro, which while not exact, looks excellent. The manufacturing processes are different, and he is making these by hand. He also did a red one for me because those are more common.
I am not selling these. You can contact Vince directly if you are interested. The red arrow is not totally finished. He still needs to add the liquid doming that protects the emblem and makes it shiny. It is hard to tell from the pic, but the center is chrome.
If you are interested, contact Vince directly at vince@motorcityvinyl.com

Re: Pontiac Arrowheads for bowling ball hubcaps
BTW - mods I didn't put this in the for sale section, because this was a personal project that I had done for me, and to benefit everyone, I told Vince he could use my artwork to make them for other Trans Am owners. I am not selling these, and this is an impossible part to get, so it seems more appropriate for it to be here. I just posted a link where you can get them if interested.
Re: Pontiac Arrowheads for bowling ball hubcaps
It seems to me there's another website that caters to early Thirdgens, which seems to have a more active crowd. Might have a lot more interest over there. Thirdgen.org sadly has never really had many members with early cars. About the only interest in the bowling ball caps around here, seem to be the fans of that stupid show with the goofy black 82 T/A. I'm sure if the info reached that crowd they might be extremely interested also. It's just a matter of reaching the target market.

Been selling those bowling ball caps for 10 years to the Knight Rider AND early f-body crowd and not many request or care much for the arrow logo's.Most folk's paint or tape over them !!!.I do remember reading there is a guy somewhere right now looking for the gold recaro version's.
But I must say those repro arrow's look SHARP !!!
