Wow, you just dont see many of these ever come up for sale and none in this kind of condition. No reserve either. This could be a really fun car to own if the price doesnt get out of hand.

Re: 1983 Autoform Convertible on ebay

Its been listed on fleabay several times and has been a no-sale!
Its in nice shape.... too bad its a Autoform conversion and not a later ASC
model. Its NOT a HO 305 either.

It's had a BuyItNow of $10K for months. Nice looking car, though it does seem to have a bit of rust on the strut towers. I love 82-84 Z28's, but can't get past the funky trunk hatch on these verts.

Re: 1983 Autoform Convertible on ebay

Wow, an early third gen conv that's NOT trashed! That is indeed a rare find. I think most people that have these cars just let them go to crap due to a lack of available replacement parts. Nice to see a decent one for a change. I'd still pass on it and pay up for a later factory conv if I were in the market for one though.

LOL, seller says that's "rust-proofing" and not rust oozing out of the shock towers.

Re: 1983 Autoform Convertible on ebay

I just bought an 84 Convertible Z-28 needing a top.
Where can I start in my quest to find one?

Thank you,

Gary

Re: 1983 Autoform Convertible on ebay

From 1982-1986 there was about 10-12 different companies making convertible conversions... If it was an ASC, you would be able to buy a top... Unfortunately I think what you will be left with would be to take it to a car upholster and they should be able to take your original top and make one from that...
