Differences in the stock L98 & LB9/G92 Camshafts
Hey guys,
I had a question on the stock cams in the L98s and LB9 G92 engines. Please correct me if I am wrong.
For 85 does the LB9 have the same or similar cam as the L69 engine? I also thought that the 87 L98 & 87 LB9/G92/5-speed had the same cam as the 85 LB9. For that I thought the specs on the cam were 0.404/0.415 (lobe seperation angle of 114.5o).
I also read this somewhere in a magazine and want to find out if its true or not. For the 90 model year did the L98 get lighter weight pistons?
In terms of performance what is different about the 88-89 cam with specs of 0.415/0.430 (117o lobe separation) and the 90-92 cam with specs of 0.413/0.428 (114.5o lobe separation)?
