Build Sheet
Since I just stumbled across and have been looking at my build sheet I'm curious about a few things:
First, I assume the build sheet would have been printed as the car entered the line. Second, in the upper left there is a date, or at least what I think is a date. See the attachment. Assuming it is a date, is that the date GM start to assemble the car or just the date the build sheet was printed?
In my case, I assume it's a date of 4/21/82, which matches the decal date of 4/82 on the drivers door. 4/21 seems a little odd since that was a Sunday. Anyone know for sure?

My back calendars indicate that April 21,1982 was a Wednesday.

Doh - I must have typed in the wrong month when I checked. Wednesday makes more sense.
Re: Build Sheet
1. The transmission wasn't bolted in correctly and I couldn't get it out of second gear because of linkage problems after leaving the dealership. I was the last one to leave that night as someone locked the gates of the dealership behind me. I had to drive 110 miles in second gear on the freeway to get home.
2. The right front disk brake kept making a terrible scraping sound and I found out later it was installed wrong.
3. The carburetors weren't adjusted right and it wouldn't idle.
4. The drivers seat had a hole in the leather.
5. When I got home and opened the trunk I found British metric tools and a wine cork under the trunk mat!
