My question is "How many third gen camaro iroc z convertibles are estimated to be alive and well around the world? I was curious cause i just bought a 1987 iroc vert(only 744 made that year) i know there were about 14000 iroc or z28 verts produced through 1987-92, also rs(v6) verts dont really count imo? Any input of the estimated numbers or a link will be greatly appreciated, Thanks

 

I would assume there are around 30% left on the road, maybe 35% since they were a little more expensive and more likely to be secondary vehicles that weren't subjected to harsh daily use.

 

We had a thread not long ago on kill ratios and survival rates you may want to dig up. 35% IMHO is probably optimistic. I'd probably give 15% for regular F bodies and maybe slightly more for special models like 'verts and cars with the L69s, LB9s, and L98s. But, of course, there will be no way to tell without a formal study. It would be cool if someone would do that.
